I've thought about this for years. . . ~$300 is horrible on low income households. A+ doesn't matter when using local businesses but it's the universal standard online. My thinking was something like this:

  • Certified examiners could charge anywhere from 0-20 dollars per test, per student.

  • The tests are modular; you start with hardware and move to software, then networking, etc. With each progression, you get a higher ranking.

  • Examiners may set their own test dates and 3 or more must be present while exams are being taken.

This is a general discussion of the idea. What would it entail and what are your suggestions? Do you have a name? Do you have security concerns?
