Learning, looking for python mini challenge

0 Are Riff · August 14, 2015
I'm new to programming and decided Python as my first.
I'm a teacher and I learn programming just because I'm interested in it.
But hopefully if opportunity arise, I hope to use Python to improve my career. But it doesn't matter if it won't.
I've watch all buckys python programming video.
Now it left me with basic but a bit fragmented knowledge of python.
I want to pieces together my Python basic knowledge that I've learned so far.

I'm looking for many mini challenges which involved mini real life problems which can be solved using python.
Where can I get those?

example: ask user to input birthdate then calculate how many day has passed since then.

Just googled this out. Looks interesting.

However, if you really want to turn Python into a carreer, look at all of the packages there are. There are a ton, and using some of the more popular ones can help you gain experience in the programming field.

Here's a few i know:

You should also get to know some of the built-in modules, such as:

  • http and serversocket - Can you guess what they're for?

  • email - A package to login to email providers and use accounts.

  • tkinter - A module to create GUI applications.

  • abc - A module to create Abstract base classes; Great for OOP!

  • pickle and shelve - Two modules to save files.

Have fun!
