AVD manager error

+1 Anuja Mishra · August 6, 2015
C:\Users\Hp\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\tools\emulator.exe -netdelay none -netspeed full -avd Nexus_5_API_22_x86
emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration!
Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable.
CPU acceleration status: HAX kernel module is not installed!

I have checked Intelx86 Emulator Accelerator (HAXM installer) is already installed. Still I am getting this as the error. What should i do?

I was seeing the same error message on my system. In my instance my cpu does not support Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x). One quick way to check if your cpu supports (VT-x) is to go to C:\Users\Hp\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\extras\intel and then open the Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager folder inside that click on the intelhaxm-android.exe. If your cpu does not support (VT-x) you will see a dialog box indicating that your cpu does not support VT, if your cpu does support (VT-x) you will see Hardware Accelerated Manager Execution wizard dialog box that will allow you to click thru and install haxm.exe.

I wasn't thorough in my explanation on how to check your system to see if it supports Intel Virtualization Technology or not. So just for clarity. Go to this folder on your system C:\Users\Hp\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\extras\intel and then open the Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager folder inside that click on the intelhaxm-android.exe.  Now if your system does support (VT-x) but it's not enabled in the bios you will get this
