Saving changes made in GUI

0 Cem Saglam · July 15, 2014

I have a program where the user can add a button to the GUI while using the program. The button gets added and functions as it should.
But I want to keep the button that the user created after they close the program and restart it.

In other words, I want to give the user the capability of changing the GUI (by adding new buttons) permanently.
Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

You can try use a file or a database to save the things you need and then load it when you start the program.
Glad to help, Spidy\Frost

Think the same. You need to have some info stored into a database or a simple text file, then grab that info and use it to change your button.

The advice was quite helpful. I'll be working on that for a while, and will be back with feedback.
So far, thanks to both of you :)
Edit: Worked on it, it looks pretty cool now. The idea also helped me add features I didn't even have in mind.
