HTML Banner/Header

Hello! I have a horizontal fixed header on top of my site and when I use page navigation to scroll to an ID, it puts the content I'm trying to scroll to underneath the header. Is there a way I can offset where the page navigation shows up by exactly where the navigation will display? Thanks a lot :)

Could you share your code?

Maybe try adding a margin-bottom for for putter most layer of the navigation.

Example: if the div that holds all the header content has a class of "header"

In your CSS, try to write
.header
{
    margin-bottom: 5px;
}

This is my CSS code for my banner container:

#banner_container{
height: 30%;
display: block;
position: fixed;
width:80%;
z-index: 100;
top:0px;
margin-bottom: 5px;
}
