Java tutorials still relevant?

I want to start with android development. But it is probably best to learn Java first?
So i was wondering if the Java tutorials from bucky are still relevant, as they are quite old now.. Or do you recommend me another video series?

Like I said to someone else, bucky's tutorials are great for getting started but after the first 50 or so tutorials (unless you want to learn GUI, then watch the whole series) you should watch these videos:

The java tutorials are really good but, the android tutorials are really old

I might be throwing a stone in glasshouse now, but The TNB Java tutorials are sadly not really good, don't get me wrong I think Bucky is a great teacher, and it is definitely a good way to get started quickly. But those tutorials alone is in my opinion not sufficient, as always I recommend getting a good Java book.

For Android, see the official documentation, it has a nice tutorial.

Any good book you can recommend me?

Some popular books include;
    Head First Java By Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates
    Thinking In Java By Bruce Eckel

I learned java from a norwegian book, which I doubt will be of much help to you, but I also heavily relied on the official Java documentation and guides.
