Useability of C# in Linux

0 Tatrasiel R · June 22, 2015
I want to ask, how well does c# integrate with Linux ?
What are some caveats to running c# on Linux?

Has anyone actually developed for Linux using c# ? Are there any benefits to c# over c++ in Linux?

Sorry if this question is in the wrong spot . I didn't see a c# area to post in.

Not sure what else you wanted to see. Get Mono develop C# application. Not much more to it.

The reason I suggested that you get Unity3d is fourfold: 1) Unity3d comes with Monodevelop and the scripting language is C#. 2)  Both can be used in a Linux environment. 3) You would have the ability to develop in 2d and/ or 3d. 4) It would be nice to have a smart person here to help me when I get stuck!!:)
