Issue with HAXM Android Studio

0 Trey Hakanson · May 24, 2015
Hey guys, as always HAXM refuses to work. I downloaded it in the SDK, enabled VT-x from BIOS, and then went into the folder containing HAXM and it won't install. My laptop is fairly new and is 100% capable of running HAXM. The error I get on install is as follows:

This computer meets the requirements for HAXM, but VT-xis not turned on. blah blah blah.

I am positive VT-x is enabled, any ideas guys? I'd appreciate anything at this point.

Did you run the .exe ??

In your file explorer, navigate to -

C:\Users\USERS NAME\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\extras\intel\Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager

If you can't see the file " AppData", you need to go to the "View" tab in the toolbar and click the box next to Hidden items.

After you run the .exe, just follow on screen, Leave the Ram at 2Gb, seems to work fine.

Hope that helps you
