Hi guys,

At the moment i am studying for over 6 months at college, in my first year. The course will take 3 years.
I already finished nearly 1 year. So 2 to go.

My question is, how can i become a good programmer?
How much time should i code at home when comming home as a beginner?

And what kind of programs should i start making myself, because college wont teach us much except the very basic of the basic..

I hope u understand my question.
At the moment i am learning php at school. I want to become a JAVA programmer though :).

Greetings from the Netherlands.

reads lots of books, because they all teach different programming techniques and other programmers' perspective of how to tackle problems
