If you want to generate names you need a list with names which can be used.
There you could use the switch.
For instance:

function Cold(){
var Num = Math.floor(Math.random() * 10);
var Name;
switch(Num){
case 0: Name='Bucky';
break;
case 1: Name='Dave';
break;
case 2: Name='Tina';
break;
case 3: Name='Fred';
break;
.
.
.
}
document.write(Name);
}
Cold();

function randomString(){

var chars = "0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz";
var string_length = 8;
var randomstring = '';
for(var i=0; i < string_length; i++){

   var rnum = Math.floor(Math.random() * chars.length);
   randomstring += chars.substring(rnum,rnum+1);
}

 document.randform.randomfield.value = randomstring;
}

dose anyone know were (document.randformrandomfield.value) comes from trying to work out this part of the code
