Use float datatype in girlage and pass AGE as a Float value like 21.5

#define AGE 21.5

float girlage;
girlage = (AGE/2 +7);
printf("%f",girlage);

@daniel yeah ofcourse PHP files are located at server. When user sends the request than it performs operation according to the request and than send back the response in the form of HTML as web browser can only understand HTML and not PHP or VB.. You need to search about Client-Server Architecture and you will get whole process.

As a beginner you should always hard code so that all tags and keywords are remembered. After u get hand over it you should use some IDE for quick coding.
Anyways here is one of the example of my coding. Am also beginner so who so ever here finds any mistakes or want to give some suggestion than most welcome.

example of CSS

* {
font-family: arial,sans-serif;
margin:0px;
padding:0px;
}
body {
width:1200px;
margin:auto;
border:2px solid #009688;
}
li {
list-style:none;
margin:0px;
}
a {
text-decoration:none;
}
*:focus {
outline:1px solid #009688;
}
::-moz-selection { /* Code for Firefox */
    color: white;
background:#009688;
}

::selection {
    color: white;
background:#009688;
}

HTML code here

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title> Login </title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="includes/main_style.css" >
</head>
<body class="login-box">
<h1>LOGIN</h1>
<form action="" method="POST" class="login-form">
<ul class="form-list">
<li>
<div class="label-block"> <label for="login:username">Username</label> </div>
<div class="input-box"> <input type="text" id="login:username" name="txtUsername" placeholder="Username" /> </div>
