JDK 7 or 8?

Hello

Just starting out today! I have an i7 pc running Windows 8.1. Do I download Java SE Development Kit 7 or Java SE Development Kit 8 for Android app development?

From Preferences I always use the old version. Sometimes the newer version aren't stable. 

In this case I have Java Development Kit 7

Remember when download the JDK make sure you are downloading either  32- bit  or   64-bit based on your computer.

But in your case Both JDK 7, and 8.1 can work perfectly fine.

Thanks for the reply Umar.

I've downloaded JDK 8 now on the grounds that newest is best! 

I'll change it if it's unstable but all is good so far. 

Just working my way through the excellent video tutorials on here.

This time next year we'll be miwionaires Rodney!
