SOLVED - Android: MasterDetailFlow example -> ERR_CACHE_MISS

+3 Matthew Cliatt · March 9, 2015
I'm working on the example from the video "Master Detail Flow Example", #32 in the beginner android app development series.

https://www.thenewboston.com/videos.php?cat=278&video=27366

My project compiles and runs fine, except when I click on an element in the list, to load the url. It gives me an error stating that the webpage could not be loaded because: "net::ERR_CACHE_MISS"

I've deleted the project and started from scratch, and then double checked every line of code and it seems to be exactly the same as Bucky's. I'm not sure what the problem could be.

I've pasted my source code to pastebin with the links here since there are 4 files:

fragment_webpage_detail
http://pastebin.com/LJnFwetc

DummyContent.java
http://pastebin.com/AkfQvEz8

AndroidManifest.xml
http://pastebin.com/5c96YN9s

WebpageDetailFragment.java
http://pastebin.com/C4NrZRvP

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

The problem was in my AndroidManifest.xml file.

A line was typed as:
<permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />

Instead of:
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
