Does anyone know how to use GPS in android?

0 Dol Lod · March 4, 2015
I have an android application and I am trying to learn how to implement GPS to automatically feed in the current location of where I'm at. I have read through the documentation, but I didn't understand it very well and was trying to find a tutorial on this topic. Basically, assuming I'm at some building ex. Harvard, I want to be able to grab the location of where I'm at and get it as a text field. Does anyone know how to do this?

The API level I'm targeting is 15 if that helps at all.

You can use LocationManager but google says it better to use the LocationClient API, http://www.tutorialspoint.com/android/android_location_based_services.htm, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16731717/using-locationclient-to-get-location-updates here are a couple of examples that may be useful.

Thanks for the links. When I google searched, I couldn't find anything resembling GPS other than the general Android documentation.
