I still don't understand Net Neutrality. Does anyone, really get it? The U.S. lawmakers are supposed to vote on the matter this week but the details of the proposed law are still being kept "secret."
I have read over websites both for and against the concept. Both groups appear to have one thing in common: they want to keep the Internet free... Great! But, the people for Net Neutrality are angry that large corporations like Verizon, Comcast, and Time-Warner have too much control over the Internet. The people against Net Neutrality are angry that the U.S. government would regulate and impose additional taxes on the Internet when the government can't even keep it's own websites and Twitter accounts safe and working properly.
It seems to me, that either way, the Internet is going to be controlled by one group or the other.
Can someone please explain the difference? Which side are you on and why?
