Starting a new AVD in Android Studio

+1 Steve DeRosa · February 11, 2015
I am trying to start a new AVD and it is taking way too long.  I get this error in my console:

emulator: device fd:664
HAX is not working and emulator runs in emulation mode
emulator: The memory needed by this VM exceeds the driver limit.
creating window 61 83 462 820
Any ideas.
Thanks

Turn off hyperthreading through BIOS, or boot a new device with an ARM OS, instead of the default x86. And do not use Nexus 5. I use Google Nexus.
