What is the best lightweight IDE for PHP development?

I am starting a new project in PHP. And need a good IDE with basic functionality like code highlighter, project management etc. I have already worked with Notepad++ and Dreamweaver. Please suggest me something else. Which should be completely free.

jetbrains phpstorm is the best ide you can find in the market right now. Since people tend to code in notepad++ or sublime you can modify them as well. You might wanna check phpstorm btw. It also provides free licence for students. Big plus here

I recently found out about Brackets and I enjoy the simplicity of the program.  I had previously used Notepad++ and before that Dreamweaver CS5.

the best lightweight code editor is Notepad.
Else remain Sublime Text3. Buy it. You can make fortunes on it.
WebStorms is also a good one but not free.
Brackets is the one I like.
Sublime Text is not free but there is ATOM which is completely free and almost the same as Sublime Text

So Download ATOM its 100mb
