Problem with image and table

+2 Adi Adams · February 8, 2015

The following is the code I have written:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<title> Tut:1 </title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Basic Exercise <hr></h1><p> <h2> Just time passing.</h2>
<table border=1 width="100%" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="5" >
<th colspan="2"><h3>Programming</h3></th>
<tr><td>Initial</td><td>pro</td></tr>
<tr><td>XHTML</td><td>HTML 5</td></tr>
<tr><td>C</td><td>C++</td></tr>
 </p>
<p>This is the revision of old html or xhtml.<br> It is just for time pass </p>

 <p>
 <br><br><br>
<a href="http://google.com"> Click This link to go to <strong>google</strong>. </a>
<a href="tut2.html"><br><h3>Click here to go to: Second Tut .</h3> </a>
<br>
<a href="mailto: avan011@gmail.com" title="Useless">Email.</a>
<a href="http://thenewboston.com"><img src="Networking Poster.jpg" height="150"></a></img>
</p>
</body>
</html>
 Here the table is supposed to be displayed before the image, but the reverse happens! Can anyone explain me why?

<img src="Networking Poster.jpg" height="150"></a></img>
This is the image tag I have used,
and I'm just learning xhtml and css , so this is just an amateur webpage, and thirdly I just want to know why the image comes before the table in this case, as theoretically it should not happen!
