HTML5 Tutorial

+2 Emil Camacho Andersson · January 24, 2015

Been following the HTML5 tutorial on youtube and got to episode 16 where we started using -webkit, and well I know i can use -moz for firefox and so on but is there a more universal command that can be used instead, so my websit can be seen correctly on all browsers even explorer?

An example of what we did in episode 16

max-width: 1000px;
margin: 20px 0px;
-webkit-box-orient: vertical;
-webkit-box-flex: 1;

Thnx beforehand for any help that you guys can offer! :)

Unfortunately there is no universal command for all css properties. You have to use browser prefixes for some properties. I have no idea why they need different names even though they all do the same thing :silly:.   You have to add all appropriated prefixes and test it on all major browsers to make sure everything is fine, especially explorer :D
