xhtml is like a version. like say a rock. it has version 1 , 2 ,3
so if people say rock 1 then that means its rock version 1
so if u hear xhtml or html5, then that means the html version

I'm guessing HTML5 is an updated language and in that case has more "features" and a new way of coding.

So what to choose HTML5 or xhtml ? :(?

html5 is better since its the latests.. it has more features and more systematic. and if u use xhtml u need a long line to declare ur using xhtml but if u use html5 u just need to type <!doctype html>
