what is the & symbol on lines 12, 13, 14

What is the & symbol.  I did not see it explained in previous lessons.

I am sorry for the confusion.  I was looking at lesson "Visual Basic Tutorial - 11 - Getting User Input"  and I posted a question.  I thought the forum software would identify the tutorial number since I entered the question from the page containing the tutorial.

Anyway, lines 12 , 3, and 14 use the' &'  symbol.  I thought this was an address pointer since I program in C and it uses & as the address of a variable.

I believe the & symbol is used in VB to just add more data to the query for user input.

The '&' symbol in VB is used for string concatenation.
