love the Harry Potter books, the last 2-3 books are really good.. movies sucks but the books are great..

This book was written in 1791 and is metaphorically graphic.  and truly illustrates the demented mind of Sade. He was actually sentenced to prison by Napoleon for writing this book.  
If that's not your cup of tea, try David Fishers "The War Magician" which is a true story about a real life magician who is in the British Army in World War II and tells a tale of how he tricked the enemy with elaborate camouflage stunts.
