Beginner looking for guidance

0 Dane Ramasamy · December 30, 2014

I'm new to this and have never written a single line of code in my life.

Want to create desktop applications, mobile apps and maybe a few websites.

Where should I start?
How long should it take me to learn? ( reason I ask this question is i don't believe some youtube videos when they say learn code in 30min... Blah blah blah) realistically applying myself a few hours each afternoon is what I can do currently.

Thanks in advance for any advice guys.

Thank you for the response guys

I've been watching Bucky's c and Java video tutorials.
Is there any other resources I should be looking at?

Dane Ramaswamy you cant learn a programming language completely in 30 minutes.

In my opinion u should either start with bucky's c or java

in my humble opinion you should start with java.
with java you will get fast results and it is easy to creat an application with a grafik user interface.
How long it will take... well a good question. I cant tell how long it will take to get to the level you want to get but i cann tell you that you will always learn new things even after years of coding
