Try restarting Android Studio, should solve the problem

Nope nothing.

Just by reading your screenshot, it looks like you're trying to run the emulator and that's failing.

The phone fires up but doesn't show the app how i told it to. I ran hello world and the app runs showing android

when it says "android", that is the emulator boot screen.  Did you set it up in the AVD Manager?

It can take a long time, to boot up your'e phone, how long did you wait?
0 Robert Summers · December 18, 2014
It's all been set up with AVD, I had to use an arm CPU/ABI since x86 wouldn't work and had been waiting 30 minutes.
