^^^ Why I use mksh instead of bash on all my linux and android stuff. I encourage people to use it on macs too. Way better programmed shell. I also like zsh. The 'Bashdoor' or 'Shellshock' exploits that allow you to execute arbitrary code in environment declarations are just embarrassing. The patches for bash don't cover other exploits that you can try out on the page below.

A shell script is a computer program designed to be run by the Unix shell, a command line interpreter. The various dialects of shell scripts are considered to be scripting languages.
