Anyone know how to bypass "Cannot find CD/DVD" drivers for Win 7?

I have Windows 7 and need to install. The only problem is my BIOS are using AHCI. I've changed it over to ATA but the thing still keeps trying to install the AHCI drivers. Worse, I read on the Microsoft website that while the OS is loading the drivers, the device temporarily disconnects, making it impossible to load the drivers from the CD/DVD. I tried copying the drivers into the system's virtual OS via command prompt. The files won't copy at all :(. I've also tried a flashdrive in a USB2.0 port. The system recognizes it but again, as soon as I load the driver, the device disconnects. :(. Any suggestions would be nice. Until then, I'm stuck with Ubuntu.

You might be able to add them to the actual windows install.

I'll try the custom Windows install.
