+5 Dark knight · July 7, 2016
I want to create an app that  takes users locations and locate nearby malls, shops, atm's etc.
I am new to android and my trainer says that you need to learn the APIs.
Is this app difficult to make? How to begin making this app and please tell me where i can find the resources or tutorials for making this app.
Or else
What app should i make for a beginner??
Please help.

If you are a beginner , then do the Beginner tutorials on this site.
As for the APIs, at https://developer.android.com, they are easy to search.
For example when I searched location I found   https://developer.android.com/training/location/index.html

Your first app should be based on what you learned in the tutorials. (go with what you know, until you can modify the app without breaking it)

I agree with @Gary, but also remember that one should not be too concerned about breaking an app you have programmed based off of the tutorials when modifying it. Breaking things and then trying to find a fix to it is all part of the learning process.

We all have been a witness to the escalating growth of the mobile app market. However, there remain a lot of questions in the mind of various customers. One of such question is: How much does it cost to make an app?

But before that we have listed out some factors that are responsible for effecting the price of our app:

A few questions for Process of estimation
Keep in mind that you should stay ready for asking a few questions to the app development company or developer before estimating the cost of development for your app:

    Who calculated the estimate
Does that developer/company have a thorough understanding of your project
What are the previous projects it has worked on?

In case, you face any difficulty, you can get in touch with a developer or development company for the required support. For instance, if your app targets iOS platform, then contact Clavax would be a good option if you want get all your issues solved.

Do you make your app withing a company's plan or for having fun/practising? The former variant presupposes you'll need to face your customer needs and estimate the price as it was mentioned by @Amy Rivers. I believe it's company who takes desicions like this. If you want to practise look for this course https://www.udemy.com/learn-by-doing-android-for-beginners/
